Portugal - Fatima to Lisbon

As you wander around the Batalha Monastery and Chapels there are numerous tombs and memorials carved directly into the floor or in side walls and smaller side chapels. They date back to the 1400 and 1500s also. The one on the left is the tomb of Mateus Fernandes (1515) who was the architect of this monastery
